Jimmy Page is recognized as one of the most influential guitarists and songwriters in rock music history. Page's work with Led Zeppelin has shaped the sound of rock and heavy metal, with his guitar riffs serving as a foundation for the genre. His musical versatility spans folk, country, funk, blues, and other genres, and he played a significant role in writing and producing Led Zeppelin's catalog.

Born in Heston, Middlesex, England, Page began playing guitar at age 13, inspired by the Elvis Presley song "Baby Let's Play House." Largely self-taught, he joined Neil Christian & the Crusaders after high school, touring England before illness led him to temporarily step away from music and attend art college in Sutton, Surrey.

Page returned to music as a session guitarist and producer, working with prominent acts including the Who, Them, Donovan, the Kinks, and the Rolling Stones. He later joined the Yardbirds, initially as a bassist and then as a guitarist, contributing to the band's shift toward psychedelic and hard rock. After the Yardbirds disbanded, Page formed the New Yardbirds, which evolved into Led Zeppelin with John Paul Jones, Robert Plant, and John Bonham. The band became known for albums such as "Led Zeppelin I," "Led Zeppelin II," "Led Zeppelin III," "Led Zeppelin IV," "Houses of the Holy," and "Physical Graffiti," producing songs like "Dazed and Confused," "Whole Lotta Love," "Immigrant Song," "Black Dog," "Stairway to Heaven," and "Kashmir."

Page also collaborated with folk artist Roy Harper, notably on the album "Stormcock." Led Zeppelin established their own record label, Swan Song, and Page's interests extended to the occult. Despite personal and professional challenges, including substance abuse and the deaths of band members, Page continued to contribute to music through soundtrack work for films such as "Death Wish I" and "Death Wish II," the compilation album "Coda," and participation in the A.R.M.S. tour.

Following Led Zeppelin's dissolution, Page formed the Firm with Paul Rodgers, releasing two albums, including "Mean Business." He also reunited with Led Zeppelin members for events such as Live Aid and the Atlantic Records 25th Anniversary Concert, and released his solo album "Outrider." Page collaborated with David Coverdale on the album "Coverdale/Page" and later reunited with Plant for the acoustic album "No Quarter," an MTV Unplugged special, and a world tour. Led Zeppelin was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and Page continued to work with artists such as the Black Crowes, resulting in the live album "Live at the Greek."

Page remains active as a speaker and commentator on music history and guitar innovation, appearing at music events and festivals. He has received recognition for his contributions to rock music, including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award with Led Zeppelin and induction into multiple halls of fame. Page is frequently sought for interviews and public appearances, where he discusses creativity, overcoming challenges, and the legacy of Led Zeppelin's music.
