Jimmie Johnson

Jimmie Johnson is a professional racecar driver recognized for his achievements in motorsports, particularly in the NASCAR Cup Series. Johnson's seven NASCAR Cup Series championships tie him with Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt for the most in series history, and his five consecutive titles set a NASCAR record. He has earned 83 wins at 20 different race tracks, including multiple victories in every NASCAR crown jewel event: two Daytona 500s, four Brickyard 400s, four Coca-Cola 600s, two Southern 500s, and four All-Star Race wins. Johnson is the only racecar driver to be named The Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year, an honor that placed him above global sports figures such as Roger Federer and Usain Bolt in the voting.

Johnson began his racing career in motorcycles at age 4 and later competed in off-road series, earning Rookie of the Year honors in the Mickey Thompson Entertainment Group, Short-course Off-road Drivers Association, and SCORE International. He transitioned to stock car racing in the American Speed Association, competing full time for Herzog Motorsports and securing two wins. Johnson joined Hendrick Motorsports, where he spent his full-time NASCAR career driving the No. 48 Chevrolet. He was runner-up in back-to-back seasons before winning five consecutive Cup Series championships, surpassing Cale Yarborough's previous record.

After stepping away from full-time NASCAR competition, Johnson competed in the INDYCAR Series and was named Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year. He also participated in endurance events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Rolex 24 at Daytona. Beyond motorsports, Johnson completed the Boston Marathon and a half Ironman, demonstrating his commitment to athleticism and endurance sports. He is a member of the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

Johnson became majority owner of Legacy Motor Club, with Knighthead Capital Management holding a minority stake.
