Jill Popelka

Jill Popelka is a technology executive and CEO of Darktrace, a company specializing in AI-powered cybersecurity. With more than 20 years of experience in the software industry, Popelka became CEO of Darktrace after serving as chief operating officer and as a non-executive director on the company’s board. She leads Darktrace as it expands channel partnerships and grows its presence in North America following its acquisition by Thoma Bravo. Popelka’s strategic direction guides Darktrace’s ongoing development and influence in the cybersecurity sector.

Before joining Darktrace, Popelka held leadership roles at SAP, including president of SAP SuccessFactors, where she oversaw cloud-based human capital management software. During her tenure, SAP SuccessFactors supported more than 7,000 customers and 120 million users globally. Her international experience includes leading SAP Consulting and SuccessFactors’ Asia Pacific operations from Singapore, demonstrating her expertise in scaling global technology businesses. Popelka has also held executive positions at Snap Inc. and began her career at Accenture after earning a Bachelor of Arts in international studies from Texas A&M University.
