Jill Furman

Jill Furman is an award-winning producer who is one of the most powerful women on Broadway. In 2024, alongside Hillary Clinton, Malala Yousafzai and Rachel Sussman, Furman produced and opened the women’s suffrage-focused show “Suffs.” It scored six Tony Award nominations and two wins. Furman has previously scored Tony wins for her work on “Hamilton,” "In the Heights" and "Freestyle Love Supreme." Other past Broadway credits include "In the Heights," "Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella," "The Heiress," "Seminar," "West Side Story," "The Drowsy Chaperone," "Sly Fox," and "Fortune’s Fool." A musical adaptation of "Wonder," the best-selling YA novel and hit film, is in development.

In television and film, Furman executive-produced the Emmy Award-winning "Hamilton" for Disney+ and "In the Heights." She also produced Hulu’s "We Are Freestyle Supreme," which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2020.

Furman, a Forbes 50 Over 50 honoree, received the Robert Whitehead Award for Outstanding Achievement in Commercial Theatre Producing in 2011. She received a BA from Brown University and her MBA from Columbia University in 1997 and founded Jill Furman Productions two years later. She is on the Board of the Lung Cancer Research Foundation, the Corporation of Brown University and the President’s Advisory Council for the Arts at Brown.
