Jessie Ware

Jessie Ware is a British singer-songwriter known for her soulful voice and sophisticated pop sound, contributing significantly to the UK music industry. Before releasing her debut solo album, Ware developed her skills by providing backing vocals at live shows for Jack Peñate, touring in the United States, and performing with Man Like Me. An introduction to SBTRKT through Peñate's bandmate led to a collaboration on the track "Nervous," and Ware later worked with Sampha on "Valentine," which was released as a special-edition vinyl by Young Turks. These early collaborations resulted in a record deal with PMR Records.

Ware gained prominence with her debut album, "Devotion," which reached number five on the UK Albums Chart and featured the single "Wildest Moments." The album was certified Gold by the British Phonographic Industry for sales exceeding 100,000 copies and was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Her second album, "Tough Love," peaked at number nine on the UK Albums Chart and included the Ed Sheeran-written single "Say You Love Me." Ware's third album, "Glasshouse," reached number seven in the UK.

Transitioning to a disco-influenced style, Ware released her fourth album, "What's Your Pleasure?," which achieved critical acclaim, reached number three in the UK, and produced singles such as "Spotlight," "Save a Kiss," and "Remember Where You Are." Her fifth album, "That! Feels Good!," produced the single "Free Yourself," reached number three in the UK, and peaked at number sixteen on the Top Album Sales chart in the United States. Ware received the Best Female honor at the Silver Clef Awards and completed a global tour in support of "That! Feels Good!," featuring hits like "Free Yourself" and "Pearls." She also released "I Could Get Used to This" as the lead single from her album "Superbloom."

Ware has earned multiple recognitions, including seven Brit Awards nominations, two Mercury Prize nominations, and an MTV Europe Music Award nomination. She collaborated with Kylie Minogue on the reissue of Minogue's album Disco, releasing the duet "Kiss of Life." In addition to her recording career, Ware launched the podcast "Table Manners" with her mother, focusing on family, food, and conversation, and featuring a variety of guests. The podcast has surpassed 60 million downloads worldwide and regularly ranks number one in the iTunes food and arts podcast chart. Since its launch, "Table Manners" won Best Podcast at the NME Awards in London, with previous guests including Dolly Parton, Sir Paul McCartney, Cher, Robert De Niro, and Kate Winslet. Ware also serves as a UNICEF UK ambassador, traveling to Bangladesh, Cameroon, and North Macedonia to observe the organization's work supporting children affected by violence.
