Jessica Jordan Ping

Jessica Jordan Ping is a Chicago-based disability advocate, content creator, speaker, and accessibility consultant recognized for her work in disability representation and accessibility. Ping was born with CHILD Syndrome, a rare genetic condition affecting approximately 60 people worldwide, resulting in a shortened arm and an amputated leg on the left side of her body. She uses her lived experience to educate, promote representation, and drive systemic change in disability advocacy.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from the University of Notre Dame, Ping launched her blog, "The Rolling Explorer." Through "The Rolling Explorer," she shares her experiences, discusses accessibility issues, and advocates for disability representation in fashion, entertainment, culture, and policy. Ping has built a community of more than 240,000 followers across digital platforms, consulted with organizations on adaptive fashion and inclusive strategy, and spoken at national conferences on disability, health equity, and authentic representation. She has served as a guest expert in higher education and launched a podcast that ranked in the top 20 percent of video podcasts on Spotify.

Ping's advocacy extends to the fashion industry, where she has attended London Fashion Week for three seasons as both a model and guest, sitting front row for designers such as Pam Hogg, Buerlangma, and Helen Anthony, and walking for sustainable designer Sarah Regensburger, including closing the Unhidden runway in an adaptive red dress. She has been interviewed on Channel 4 and NowThis, highlighted in BBC's coverage of London Fashion Week, and featured in publications including British Vogue, Billboard, and USA Today. Her brand collaborations include Google, Meta, Marshalls, Moderna, Logitech, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Transport for London, Liberare, NatWest, and the NHS.

Ping has worked with lawmakers and nonprofits to advocate for disability and women's rights, covered the Democratic National Convention as a credentialed content creator, and was invited by President Joe Biden to attend a White House celebration marking the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Her experience includes consulting for global companies on social media strategy and serving as an advisory board member at Irregular Hours. She is a senior staff assistant on the HR team at the American Medical Association, supporting internal operations and advancing organizational mission. Through her work across digital media, fashion, policy, and healthcare, Ping contributes to the ongoing evolution of disability advocacy and accessibility.
