Jesse Ventura

Jesse Ventura is a former professional wrestler, actor, political commentator, and politician best known for serving as the 38th Governor of Minnesota from 1999 to 2003. Ventura first gained national fame in the 1970s and ’80s as a charismatic and flamboyant professional wrestler under the ring name “The Body,” known for his brash persona and later as a popular color commentator for the WWF (now known as WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment). He parlayed his celebrity into a successful film career, appearing in action films such as "Predator" alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Ventura shocked the political world in 1998 when he ran for governor as a Reform Party candidate and won, defeating major-party opponents with a grassroots campaign that appealed to independent and disenfranchised voters.
