Sochan gained attention for his one-handed free throw technique, a method he adopted after a suggestion from Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich. He also participated in the NBA All-Star Rising Stars event. Known for his defensive versatility, rebounding, and ability to guard multiple positions, Sochan is recognized as a versatile NBA forward.
Internationally, Sochan has represented Poland, winning the FIBA U16 European Championship Division B with the junior under-16 team and earning Tournament MVP honors.
