Jenny Boucek

Jenny Boucek is currently an assistant coach with the Indiana Pacers and began her NBA coaching career with the Sacramento Kings in 2018. This appointment marked a milestone as she became the third woman to hold an assistant coach position in the league. Prior to her NBA career, Boucek built a strong reputation in the WNBA, commencing her tenure in 1999 with the Washington Mystics. She later served as head coach for both the Seattle Storm and the Sacramento Monarchs.

In addition to her NBA coaching accomplishments, Boucek has had significant success in the WNBA. She was named the WNBA All-Star Game Head Coach in 2007 and has been an assistant coach for two WNBA championship teams with the Seattle Storm in 2004 and 2010. Furthermore, she was selected as an assistant coach for the WNBA All-Star Game in 2011, showcasing the wide recognition of her coaching abilities. Despite a setback in 2017 with a disappointing season leading to her dismissal as head coach of the Seattle Storm, Boucek quickly rebounded by joining the Sacramento Kings as a player development coach.

Boucek's journey in basketball extends beyond coaching, as she was a professional player before transitioning into coaching roles. Her experience includes serving as a coach for the Cleveland Rockers and Miami Sol in the WNBA, broadening her range of coaching experience. In her current role with the Indiana Pacers, Boucek continues to learn and grow, considering head coach Rick Carlisle a mentor, and is the first female assistant coach in an NBA Finals.
