Jennifer Bailey

Jennifer Bailey is a technology executive recognized for her leadership in digital payments and financial services innovation. Bailey joined Apple as vice president of worldwide online stores, overseeing the expansion of the store to operations in more than 40 countries. She was later promoted to lead internet services and Apple Pay, taking on a role that shaped the company's approach to digital payments.

As vice president of Apple Pay and Apple Wallet, Bailey directed the launches of Apple Pay, a mobile payment service; Apple Wallet, which allows customers to securely store and access transit cards, mobile IDs, digital keys, loyalty cards, and contactless tickets; and Apple Card, a digital-first, no-fee credit card. Under Bailey's leadership, Apple Pay expanded to more than 80 countries and became accepted at more than 85 percent of U.S. retailers. The payment division became central to Apple's growth in financial services, with Apple Pay generating significant annual revenue.

Before Apple, Bailey held senior roles in the technology and financial services sectors. She served as senior vice president of online services and operations at myCFO, a financial services firm, and as senior vice president at Netscape Communications, where she led outbound marketing and launched Netcenter, Netscape's online portal business. Earlier, Bailey held management positions in marketing at SkyTel, GO Corporation, and Teknowledge. She holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from Middlebury College.

Bailey has contributed to the payments and technology industries as a keynote speaker at events such as the TRANSACT conference, a global payments technology forum, and Fortune's Brainstorm Reinvent conference, where she discussed Apple Pay's role in digital transformation. She was named one of Fast Company's Most Creative People in Business for her leadership in technology and payments. Bailey is a frequent speaker on topics including female leadership, women in business, and technology.

After more than 25 years at Apple, Bailey retired, concluding a tenure that included the launch and expansion of major financial services. Outside Apple, Bailey serves on the board of directors at PepsiCo and has served on the American Red Cross board. Her career reflects a combination of operational expertise and entrepreneurial vision, establishing her as a leading voice in innovation, digital transformation, and the future of commerce.
