Jeffrey Marsh

Jeffrey Marsh (they/them) is a social media personality, author, and a leading voice on nonbinary identity and LGBTQ advocacy. Marsh's TikTok and short-form videos have garnered more than 3 billion views, establishing Marsh as one of the most widely followed nonbinary creators globally. Marsh earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of the Arts in Philadelphia and later moved to New York City to pursue a career in cabaret performance before focusing on digital content and youth advocacy. Marsh's show, "An Evening with Jeffrey Marsh," was among the founding performances of the Philadelphia Gay & Lesbian Theater Festival.

Marsh has achieved several firsts in the nonbinary community, including being the first nonbinary public figure to appear on national television with an interview on Newsmax and the first celebrity activist to use they/them pronouns. Marsh's book, "How to Be You," became a bestseller and is recognized as the first nonbinary memoir. Marsh was also the first nonbinary author to sign a book deal with a major publisher, Penguin Random House. "How to Be You" appeared on Oprah's Gratitude Meter and was named Excellent Book of the Year by TED-Ed. The book blends memoir, workbook, and spiritual self-help, offering a unique perspective on gender identity and self-acceptance.

Marsh's follow-up book, "Take Your Own Advice," also achieved bestseller status and received recognition from Apple Books. "Take Your Own Advice" reached the top of Amazon's Self-Esteem category. Marsh's advocacy and insights have been featured in O Magazine, Rolling Stone, and The New York Times. Marsh has spoken at the United Nations and for global brands such as Target and BNP, and has reported on LGBTQ topics for Good Morning America, The New York Times, Variety, TIME, and BBC.

As detailed in "How to Be You," Marsh lived as a Zen monk and has studied Zen Buddhism for more than 20 years. Marsh is a precepted facilitator in the Soto Zen tradition. As a Breakthrough and Gender Counseling Coach, Marsh works with both straight and LGBTQ individuals, including celebrities, CEOs, and politicians, to foster self-compassion and sustainable change. Marsh has served as a cultural consultant in nonbinary affairs for institutions such as New York University, GLAAD, MTV, Them, and Teen Vogue. Through writing, speaking, and digital media, Marsh contributes to the ongoing conversation about self-acceptance, inclusion, and gender identity.
