Jeff Probst

Jeff Probst is an American television host and executive producer, widely recognized for his work on "Survivor," the CBS reality competition series. Probst's career in television began with hosting roles, including correspondent duties on Access Hollywood and hosting "Rock & Roll Jeopardy" on VH1. His early experience producing and narrating corporate marketing videos contributed to his development as a storyteller.

Probst became the host and executive producer of "Survivor" after learning about the show's concept from producer Mark Burnett. Since its premiere, "Survivor" has become a prominent reality television franchise, with Probst playing a key role in shaping its creative direction and casting. His approach at Tribal Council, where he questions contestants about strategy, loyalty, and human behavior, has become a hallmark of the series. Probst has received multiple Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program, as well as an Emmy for "Survivor" in the Outstanding Non-Fiction Program (Special Class) category. Probst is a New York Times bestselling author, known for the children's adventure series "Stranded" and its companion series "Stranded: Shadow Island." The books, inspired by young fans of "Survivor," follow four children facing survival challenges on a deserted island. Probst is also the founder of The Serpentine Project, a nonprofit supporting young adults transitioning out of foster care, and has partnered with the Alliance for Children's Rights, raising funds through "Survivor" memorabilia auctions. Probst remains active in television production, reality competition programming, and children's literature.
