Jeanne Mancini

After twelve years of leading the iconic March for Life, Jeanne Mancini stepped down in late January 2025 to fulfill a new dream of helping nonprofit leaders flourish more fully. Mancini brings decades of nonprofit, ministry and communications experience to this new role.

As President of the March for Life Mancini’s responsibilities included growing and leading one of the most nationally recognized pro-life non-profits; strategic planning; acting as spokesperson; mission development; frequent policy and motivational speaking engagements with legislators, pro-life groups, churches, pregnancy care centers and other national and international groups.

Mancini has testified before the U.S. Congress and regularly consults, meets with and presents to state and federal elected officials, including at the White House and Department of Justice.

Prior to her time leading the March for Life Mancini worked with the Family Research Council (FRC), where she focused on issues related to the inherent dignity of the human person. Before FRC Mancini worked for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in the Office of the Secretary. Her federal government experience includes global health policy, as well as domestic and international health care issues. Earlier in her career Mancini held a variety of ministry positions within the Catholic Church including that of youth minister, religion teacher, campus minister and Associate Director of the Cardinal Maida Institute for the New Evangelization.

Mancini has made frequent media appearances including interviews on MSNBC, CNN, FOX, ABC, CBS, and others. Mancini’s writings have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, U.S. News and World Report, USA Today, the Washington Post and numerous other publications.

In 2017, the Washington Post Magazine profiled Mancini along with nine other nationally recognized activists in a piece entitled, “I Could Use My Voice”. Mancini’s pro-life work was also included in the 2019 book, “Activists: Portraits of Courage” by KK Ottesen. In 2020 Mancini was honored by the Sisters of Life as the recipient of the annual Cardinal O’Connor Award. In 2021 Mancini received the St. John Paul II New Evangelization Award from the Catholic Information Center.

In 2022, 2023 and 2024 Washingtonian Magazine named Mancini one of DC’s 500 most influential people. In 2023 Our Sunday Visitor named Mancini as one of the “Catholics of the Year” and in 2025 the Catholic University of America conferred her with an honorary doctorate.

Today Mancini continues to serve as a consultant to the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops Pro-Life Committee in addition to serving on the Board of three impactful non-profit organizations. Mancini holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from James Madison University and a master degree in the theology of marriage and family from the Pope John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family, in addition to a coaching certification through Metanoia Catholic. Mancini resides in northern Virginia with her husband, David.
