Jay Cameron is a Washington, D.C.-based entrepreneur, speaker, author, and documentary filmmaker whose career spans more than three decades. Cameron is recognized for his work in African diaspora travel, cultural exploration, and community empowerment. His experience as a world traveler, radio personality, playwright, and philanthropist has led to features in media publications and news outlets worldwide. Cameron's entrepreneurial journey began early and has included a range of ventures. He launched Maximum Impact Travel, a travel company headquartered in Washington, D.C., dedicated to connecting the African diaspora to destinations across Africa and beyond. Cameron has traveled to more than 50 countries, including 25 across Africa, and has led more than 2,000 travelers to over 20 countries. He holds dual citizenship in Ghana and Sierra Leone, the latter discovered through DNA research linking him to the Temne people.

Maximum Impact Travel is known for its pre-travel orientation, offering clients an online course before departure, and for providing immersive local experiences such as drumming, craft-making, and visits to homes and villages. The company specializes in heritage tours for multigenerational families seeking to reconnect with ancestral roots and has expanded to include diaspora tours across the Caribbean, Central and South America, and Europe. Cameron is also the author of the book "Fatherless Fathering" and the children's book series "The Adventures of Darren and Destiny," which encourages cultural appreciation in young readers.
