Jason Tan

Jason Tan is a data and analytics entrepreneur, AI strategist, and podcast host based in Brisbane, Australia. Tan began his career at Suncorp, one of Australia's largest insurers, where he collaborated with actuaries to develop a pricing optimization platform for the general insurance portfolio. This experience established a foundation for a career focused on translating complex data science and analytics into practical business solutions. Following his corporate tenure, Tan moved into data and analytics consulting and launched startups in digital marketplaces for bicycles and furniture retailing.

Tan has founded multiple companies specializing in integrating generative AI, advanced analytics, and OpenAI strategies into business operations. He is the founder and managing director of DDA Labs, a firm that embeds advanced analytics into business processes, offering advisory, strategy, managed services, data monetization, and generative AI implementation. Co-authoring with Brian Ferris, Tan documented a decade of experience in implementing and delivering advanced analytics for startups and large enterprises. His work spans industries such as insurance, banking, retail, and marketing, advising clients on data and business analytics strategies from inception to maturity.

Identifying a gap in business prospecting, Tan developed Engage AI, a product based on his own prospecting methodology. He grew Engage AI to 100,000 users across more than 150 countries with a small team and without venture funding. The AI SaaS product enables B2B clients to engage and communicate more effectively on LinkedIn, supporting revenue generation and business growth. Through this work, Tan became recognized as a LinkedIn Top Voice.

Tan hosts "The Analytics Show," a podcast exploring business through the lens of data science. The show features interviews with business leaders worldwide, focusing on best practices in generative AI and advanced analytics to drive organizational performance. As an executive board member of the Global AI Ethics Institute, he contributes to advancing culturally inclusive AI ethics by reviewing policy papers and providing strategic guidance.
