Jason T. Collett, SHRM-SCP, was a keynote speaker, HR strategist, culture architect, and executive coach with a career spanning more than 29 years in human resources, coaching, and organizational development. Collett held a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Western Michigan University and an MBA in strategic planning from Davenport University. This combination of behavioral science and business expertise informed his approach, enabling him to connect people-centered leadership with organizational strategy.
Collett served as both an entrepreneur and a global leader, building, operating, and selling small businesses while also holding global HR leadership roles in several Fortune 500 companies. His corporate experience included positions at Schneider National, Bank of America, Honeywell, and Domtar, where he led talent management, executive development, performance and change management, learning, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement. He later served as head of people at Metabolic Living, where he contributed to reshaping corporate culture by integrating a people-centric approach with data-driven decision-making.
Outside of his professional life, Collett’s experiences as a child cellist touring internationally and living with more than 200 host families before age 19 influenced his perspective on leadership, self-reliance, and cross-cultural understanding. He also pursued high-altitude ice climbing, competitive sailing, skiing, snowboarding, and surfing, using these experiences to illustrate leadership and organizational success in his keynotes.
Collett owned Adaptivity Development, a consulting firm focused on unlocking human potential in high-performance workplaces. As a speaker, he engaged audiences with stories and visuals from his global adventures to deliver messages on value realization, leadership, and business outcomes. He authored "Pivotal Moments," a book on leveraging critical moments for transformative results. His speaking topics included strategic HR, psychological capital, employee engagement, change management, and organizational culture, and he was a frequent presenter at DisruptHR events and SHRM conferences.
Collett passed away at age 52. His contributions to human resources, leadership development, and organizational culture continue to influence professionals in the field.
