Jason Bolden

Jason Bolden is an American entrepreneur, creative director, and fashion stylist known for his work in the fashion and entertainment industries. Bolden began his career with an unconventional path, initially studying pre-med at Northwestern University before transferring to the Art Institute of Chicago. While working at a Cynthia Rowley retail store, he developed a passion for fashion, later gaining experience with brands such as Nicole Miller, Louis Vuitton, Chloé, Gucci, and Oscar de la Renta. After graduation, Bolden moved to New York City and opened a vintage store, The Garment Room, at 112 Greene Street in SoHo, where he curated collections and collaborated with designers. The store attracted visits from Calvin Klein, Akris, and Ralph Lauren, who sought inspiration for their collections.

Bolden's career as a celebrity stylist began when Gabrielle Union asked him to style her for an Art Basel event, leading to increased media attention. He went on to work with clients including Taraji P. Henson, Yara Shahidi, Michael B. Jordan, Cynthia Erivo, Alicia Keys, Amanda Gorman, Trevor Noah, Storm Reid, and Vanessa Hudgens. Bolden also styled Amy Sherald for the unveiling of Michelle Obama's official portrait. His work is recognized for blending personality with a fashion-forward approach, contributing to the visibility of his clients on red carpets and magazine covers. Notable projects include styling Cynthia Erivo for "Wicked" press tours, Michael B. Jordan and Vanessa Hudgens for the Academy Awards, and Yara Shahidi's Josephine Baker-inspired look for the Met Gala. His styling has appeared on covers for Architectural Digest, Town & Country, and Parents.

Bolden has addressed challenges related to equity and representation as a Black man in the fashion industry, becoming a prominent voice in discussions about diversity. In addition to his styling work, he has appeared as a judge on Netflix's "Next in Fashion" and starred in the series "Styling Hollywood." Bolden has been named among The Hollywood Reporter's Top 25 Most Powerful Stylists and received WWD's Style Award for Red Carpet Stylist of the Year. He is a co-founder of JSN Studio, a creative studio specializing in residential and commercial interior design, luxury staging, and product design.
