Jared Goff

Jared Goff is a professional football quarterback currently playing for the Detroit Lions in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected as the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams.

Goff attended Marin Catholic High School in Kentfield, California, where he excelled as a quarterback, amassing 7,687 passing yards and 93 touchdowns over three varsity seasons. He then played college football at the University of California Berkeley, from 2013 to 2015. During his tenure with the California Golden Bears, Goff set numerous school records, including career passing yards (12,195) and touchdown passes (96). In his junior year, he set Pac-12 single-season records with 4,714 passing yards and 43 touchdown passes. Following this standout season, Goff declared for the NFL Draft.

In Goff's 2016 rookie season, he led the Rams to their first playoff appearance since 2004 and earned his first Pro Bowl selection. In 2018, Goff guided the Rams to Super Bowl LIII, marking the team's first Super Bowl appearance since 2001.

In 2021, Goff was traded to the Detroit Lions. By his third season with the team, he led the Lions to their first playoff victory since 1991 and an appearance in the NFC Championship Game. Goff earned Pro Bowl honors again in 2022 and 2024.

Goff, who is married to model and actress Christen Harper, is active in philanthropy. In 2020, he donated $250,000 to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank during the COVID-19 pandemic.
