Janet Wu

Janet Wu is a journalist and anchor whose career spans decades in broadcast media, with experience at major national outlets. Wu is based in Boston was an anchor and reporter for Bloomberg Radio and Television, where she interviews entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders in the innovation and finance sectors, primarily for "Bloomberg Baystate Business." Before joining Bloomberg, Wu held roles at 7News in Boston, including weekend anchor and healthcare reporter. Earlier in her career, she served as weekday morning presenter for KIRO-TV in Seattle and as weekend presenter and reporter at KGMB in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Wu graduated from Yale with a dual major in philosophy and psychology and earned a master's degree in journalism and international affairs from Columbia University. Her academic background informs her reporting on financial markets, entrepreneurship, healthcare, and public policy. Wu also appeared in the film "Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home."

In addition to her broadcast work, Wu contributes to print media. Her op-eds and essays have appeared in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, and The Norton Sampler series. She was recognized as the New England Girl Scouts Leading Woman of the Year and delivered a TEDxCambridge talk on exploration and resilience. She also serves on the advisory boards of the New England Conservatory of Music, Franciscan Children's Hospital, and the Max Warburg Courage Curriculum. Wu plays piano and cello and has traveled to 87 countries, 38 of them solo, experiences that inform her perspective in journalism and public affairs.
