Jan Brett

Jan Brett is a noted American illustrator and author, who has been contributing to the realm of children's picture books since 1978. She has a distinct array of works to her credit that have not only gained popularity among young readers but have also been recognized by various award committees. Brett's portfolio includes well-received titles such as "The Mitten," "The Hat," "Gingerbread Baby," and "Cinders: A Chicken Cinderella."

Recognition of Brett's work is not limited to her readership. Her book "The Three Snow Bears" was a finalist for the Children's Favorites Awards' and the Kids' Book Choice Awards' Illustrator of the Year in 2008.
