Jamie Anderson

Jamie Anderson is a prominent snowboarder recognized for her achievements in action sports and Olympic snowboarding. Anderson won gold medals in the Women's Slopestyle event at the Winter Olympics in Sochi and Pyeongchang, becoming the first female snowboarder to secure more than one Olympic gold medal. At the Pyeongchang Games, she also earned a silver medal in the big air event, making her the only snowboard athlete, male or female, to reach the podium in both slopestyle and big air at those Games. Anderson is tied with Lindsey Jacobellis for the most gold medals and overall medals in U.S. Olympic snowboarding history.

Anderson was invited to her first X Games at age 13 and has since become the most decorated woman in X Games history, earning 21 medals in 23 appearances. Within four years of her debut, she achieved back-to-back X Games slopestyle championships. Her career includes 11 FIS World Cup victories and five ESPY Awards for Best Female Action Sports Athlete, reflecting her influence in competitive snowboarding and her technical skill in slopestyle and big air disciplines.

Anderson's career has included overcoming significant challenges, such as a serious injury at age 17 that led to a renewed focus on health and wellness. She has expanded her presence beyond competitive snowboarding, participating in "The Celebrity Apprentice" and "Dancing with the Stars," and collaborating on snowboarding films including "Full Moon" and "Great Alaskan Adventure."

Off the slopes, Anderson founded the Jamie Anderson Foundation, a nonprofit organization supporting youth in action sports by providing equipment, financial assistance, and access to mountain experiences. She has partnered with Protect Our Winters to advocate for environmental sustainability and climate change awareness. Anderson has contributed to the progression of women's snowboarding by hosting the enJOY event with Woodward, offering women resources and encouragement to enter the sport.

After a period away from competition to focus on family and personal projects, Anderson has returned to competitive snowboarding. Her ongoing career continues to influence the evolution of women's snowboarding, highlighting resilience, innovation, and advocacy within the action sports community.
