Jalen Williams

Jalen Devonn Williams, affectionately known as "J-Dub," is a rising star in the National Basketball Association (NBA), currently playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Born in Denver, Colorado, and raised in Gilbert, Arizona, Williams experienced a significant growth spurt during high school, transforming from a 6-foot point guard to a 6'5" versatile wing. This physical development, coupled with his skill set, paved the way for his collegiate and professional basketball career.

Williams attended Santa Clara University, where he played three seasons with the Broncos. His standout performances, including a career-high 30-point game against Hawaii and a game-winning shot against Brigham Young University, garnered national attention. Following his junior year, Williams declared for the 2022 NBA Draft. He was selected 12th overall by the Oklahoma City. Williams quickly made his mark in the league. In his rookie season, he averaged 14.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game, earning a spot on the NBA All-Rookie First Team.

By the 2024–25 season, Williams had elevated his game, averaging 21.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game. His versatility allowed him to guard multiple positions, including as a center during injury-plagued stretches. His defensive prowess and relentless energy have drawn comparisons to NBA legends, with some dubbing him "Scottie Pippen 2.0.". His contributions were instrumental in leading the Thunder to a league-best 68 wins and a berth in the 2025 NBA Finals, where they won in Game 7 against the Indiana Pacers.
