Jalen Thomas Brooks

Jalen Thomas Brooks is an actor known for his work in television and film. Brooks credited "The Hunger Games" with sparking his interest in acting. After initially finding theater courses intimidating, he enrolled in a film acting course and compared the craft to a team sport. This perspective led him to study at DreamTraxx Acting Academy in Las Vegas, where he secured an agent, began auditioning, and landed his first television role in an episode of The CW's "Supergirl."

Brooks built his résumé with recurring roles in several television series. He appeared as Blaise on TNT's "Animal Kingdom" and was cast as Sean in ABC's "Rebel," appearing in eight of the 10 episodes. Brooks then took on a recurring role as Colton Davidson on The CW's "Walker," a reboot of the procedural drama, appearing in 20 episodes across multiple seasons. As Colton Davidson, the adopted youngest son of the Davidson family, Brooks portrayed a character whose arc explored themes of identity, family conflict, and forgiveness.

In film, Brooks made his feature debut as Bobby Di Stasi, a baseball prodigy caught in a Black Friday riot, in Eli Roth's horror-thriller "Thanksgiving." He continued his television career with a recurring role as nurse Mateo Diaz in the HBO Max drama series "The Pitt," appearing in every episode of the award-winning first season. "The Pitt" received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series. Brooks' character, Mateo Diaz, is a lead in the medical drama, which follows the high-stakes environment of a Pittsburgh hospital's emergency department over a single shift, focusing on ethical dilemmas and team dynamics in the ER. Brooks was also cast as Tucker in Amazon Prime Video's adaptation of Elle Kennedy's book series, "Off Campus."
