Jalen Rose

Jalen Rose is a former professional basketball player and sports analyst best known for his role as a member of the University of Michigan’s legendary Michigan Wolverines men's basketball “Fab Five,” which reached the NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Championship games in 1992 and 1993 alongside teammates Chris Webber, Juwan Howard, Jimmy King, and Ray Jackson.

Rose played 13 seasons in the National Basketball Association as a small forward for six teams. He was particularly notable for his time with the Indiana Pacers, where he played alongside Reggie Miller on teams that reached three consecutive Eastern Conference Finals and advanced to the 2000 NBA Finals. He retired in 2007 with career averages of 14.3 points, 3.8 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game.

Following his playing career, Rose transitioned into sports media, working as an analyst for ABC (American Broadcasting Company) and ESPN. He contributed to programs including “NBA Countdown” and “Get Up!” and co-hosted the popular sports talk show “Jalen & Jacoby” with David Jacoby through 2022.

Beyond broadcasting, Rose is the founder of the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy, a public charter school in Detroit focused on college preparation and community development. He is also the author of the "Got to Give the People What They Want" and served as a producer on the ESPN documentary “The Fab Five.” Through his work in sports, media, and education, Rose remains an influential voice in basketball culture and youth empowerment.
