Jake Delhomme Biography
Jake Delhomme was the Carolina Panthers' quarterback from 2003-09, leading the Panthers to three playoff appearances and an NFC championship in his first season in 2003.
Delhomme finished his Panthers career as the team's leader in career game-winning drives with 21, setting a franchise record with seven in the 2003 season.
He is now second in franchise history in career passing yards (19,258), passing touchdowns (120), completions (1,580), completion percentage (59.2), 300-yard passing games (11) and QB wins (53).
Delhomme made his mark in the postseason where he finished his career as Panthers leader in career postseason passing yards (1,847), passing touchdowns (12) and QB wins (5). He set an NFL record for longest passing touchdown in a Super Bowl with an 85-yard pass to Muhsin Muhammad in Super Bowl XXXVIII, and became the first quarterback in NFL history to tally four consecutive postseason road victories (2003-at St. Louis, at Philadelphia, 2005-at New York Giants, at Chicago).
Delhomme was inducted into the Panthers Hall of Honor on October 6, 2019.
