Jaime Magyera

Jaime Magyera is a senior managing director at BlackRock and serves as head of BlackRock's U.S. Wealth Advisory business, head of BlackRock's Retirement business, and a member of the firm's Global Executive Committee. In her role leading U.S. Wealth Advisory, Magyera oversees BlackRock's relationships with wealth management firms and platforms, including major financial advisors in the United States. Her team distributes BlackRock's alpha-seeking, iShares, and private markets solutions, while advancing portfolio construction, personalized solutions, and digital wealth technologies.

As head of Retirement, Magyera focuses on advancing BlackRock's retirement initiatives, collaborating with leaders across the firm and the broader financial services industry to support Americans in achieving financial security for longer, better lives. Previously, she served as co-head of U.S. Wealth Advisory and as chief operating officer for the division, where she was responsible for business strategy and ensuring connectivity across client, distribution, product, marketing, and technology functions to drive growth, manage risk, and enhance efficiency.

Magyera's tenure with the firm began with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, which later merged with BlackRock. Throughout her career, she has held roles spanning retirement, marketing, strategy, and technology. She was part of the original team that designed and developed "iRetire" and the "BlackRock CoRI Retirement Indexes," two tools that have influenced how Americans plan for retirement income. Magyera has also held positions at Money Management Institute and Bank of America.

Magyera is recognized as a thought leader on the future of wealth management and retirement security. She has spoken publicly on trends in retirement and wealth management, the growth of alternative investments, and the evolving landscape at global asset managers. She has appeared on Bloomberg's "Bloomberg Businessweek Daily," discussing retirement security and the great wealth transfer, and has spoken with CNBC about retirement readiness and the unique challenges women face, such as career breaks, lower balances, longer lifespans, and concerns about retirement savings.

Magyera serves on the board of directors for iCapital and is a member of BlackRock's Women's Initiative Network. She also sponsors BlackRock's OUT Network, demonstrating her commitment to inclusion and advocacy within the financial services sector. Magyera holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and maintains Series 7, 66, and 24 licenses.
