Jacques Villeneuve

Jacques Villeneuve is a racing veteran who is well-versed in various forms of motor racing. With Williams, Villeneuve secured the Formula One World Drivers' Championship in 1997, and prior to that, he won the IndyCar World Series and the Indianapolis 500 in 1995 with Team Green. His expertise extended beyond Formula One and IndyCar, as he was also successful in sports car racing, NASCAR, and touring car racing. After his departure from Formula One in 2006, he continued to display his prowess on the track, notably winning the 2008 1000 km of Spa driving for Peugeot. His achievements were recognized in 1998 when he was appointed Officer of the National Order of Quebec, and he was subsequently inducted into the Canadian Motor Sports Hall of Fame, Canada's Sports Hall of Fame, and the FIA Hall of Fame.

During his time in the Atlantic Championship in 1993, Villeneuve won five races and finished in the top three four times, earning him the title of Rookie of the Year. The following year, he was successful in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship, where he secured three wins and finished no lower than sixth nine times. His early career also saw him compete in the All Japan Sports Prototype Car Endurance Championship and the Atlantic Championship street event. After his transition to Formula One, Villeneuve drove for Williams from 1996 to 1998 and later for the British American Racing team from 1999 to 2003. Even after leaving Formula One, his career remained dynamic as he continued to compete in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, the inaugural season of the FIA World Rallycross Championship, and the all-electric Formula E series.

Off the track, Villeneuve has also made his mark in the entertainment industry. He released a French single, "Accepterais-tu," and an acoustic rock album, "Private Paradise," in 2007. In addition, he lent his voice to the character David Hobbscap in the French dub of the Pixar film "Cars 2". Since 2013, he has served as a commentator for Sky Sport in Italy and Canal+ in France. He also co-designed the Area 27 racing track in Okanagan, British Columbia. In 2025, Villeneuve joined the Williams Formula One team as an ambassador, and has been recognized for his contributions to the sport with numerous awards, including the Lorenzo Bandini Trophy, the Lou Marsh Trophy, and the Lionel Conacher Award.
