Rodriquez Jacquees Broadnax, known mononymously as Jacquees, is an American singer and songwriter from Decatur, Georgia. He first gained attention with his 2014 EP 19, which debuted at number 15 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums and featured collaborations with Chris Brown, Rich Homie Quan, Lloyd, and Trinidad James. Later that year, he signed a recording deal with Cash Money Records, paving the way for his mainstream breakthrough.
Jacquees rose to wider prominence with his 2016 single B.E.D., which spent seven weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 69. That same year, he collaborated with label-mate Birdman on the EP Lost at Sea. His debut album, 4275, arrived in 2018, showcasing his smooth vocals and growing artistry.
In 2019, Jacquees released his second studio album, King of R&B, which debuted at number 20 on the Billboard 200. Critics praised his well-rounded performances and the way his voice complemented his collaborators. He supported the album with the King of R&B Tour in early 2020, solidifying his place as one of contemporary R&B’s rising stars.
