J.P. Guiseppi

J.P. Guiseppi is a creative director and brand experience innovator whose career spans more than two decades at the intersection of design, technology, and storytelling. Guiseppi has over 20 years of experience designing and developing innovative, emotive, and physical brand experiences. With a multidisciplinary background in art, design, advertising, digital, motion, broadcast, and technology development, he has delivered successful projects for brands including Google, Disney, Adobe, the NBA, Gap, Mattel, NBC Universal, Converse, Lexus, Coca-Cola, and Adidas.

Guiseppi's work has received recognition from the Andy Awards, One Show, Emmy Awards, Graphis, FWA, Webby Awards, Cannes, and Robb Report, among others.

His path to Google was shaped by a series of high-profile agency roles. Guiseppi joined Butler Shine Stern & Partners, working across design, interactive, and advertising disciplines before advancing to associate creative director. During his tenure, the agency grew significantly and was named Adweek's Small Agency of the Decade. He later served as creative director and vice president at Isobar San Francisco before joining Bartle Bogle Hegarty LA as creative director of its innovation unit. Guiseppi joined Google's Venice office as a creative director for the Zoo Team, leading media and entertainment engagements for a multidisciplinary team within the United States called Creative Works. He subsequently joined Google's Brand Partnerships team as group creative director, developing next-generation experiences featuring augmented reality, extended reality, and generative artificial intelligence technology with global brands.

At Google, Guiseppi has contributed to the company's initiatives in immersive content and extended reality. His team collaborated with Coldplay to convert their 44-minute music film "A Film For The Future" from 2D to stereoscopic 3D using proprietary Google technology, enhancing the immersive experience for fans. He played a key role in the launch of Android XR, a collaboration across Google, Samsung, and Qualcomm, which garnered over 84 million streams following its debut at a Samsung Galaxy event. Guiseppi also helped drive the launch of microdramas on the Google TV Mobile app through Google's 100 ZEROS initiative in partnership with Range Media Partners.

One of Guiseppi's most high-profile projects is "ASTEROID," an XR thriller developed in collaboration with director Doug Liman. Produced by Liman's 30 Ninjas Production in association with Google's 100 ZEROS, the immersive short follows a group of strangers who risk everything to mine a near-earth asteroid. The film stars Hailee Steinfeld, Rhenzy Feliz, DK Metcalf, Freida Pinto, and Ron Perlman, and features immersive spatial technology through Android XR alongside a post-credits AI-powered interaction layer using Google's Gemini AI model. The film premiered at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival's Immersive competition, establishing Guiseppi as a creative leader at the intersection of Hollywood and Silicon Valley.
