Ivi Adamou

Ivi Adamou is a Greek Cypriot pop singer and songwriter known for her powerful vocals and dynamic stage presence. Born on November 24, 1993, in Paralimni, Cyprus, she first rose to fame as a finalist on The X Factor Greece in 2009. Her breakout performance led to a contract with Sony Music Greece and the release of her debut EP, Kalokairi Stin Kardia, which quickly achieved gold status. She followed this with a holiday-themed EP that gained platinum certification in Portugal.

In 2011, Ivi released her first full-length album, San Ena Oniro, which featured hit singles like “Krata Ta Matia Sou Klista,” “Kano Mia Efhi,” and “Voltes St Asteria.” That same year, she was selected to represent Cyprus in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest with the infectious dance-pop track “La La Love.” Her performance gained widespread acclaim and chart success across Europe, marking a milestone for a Cypriot artist on the international stage.

Following Eurovision, Ivi continued to release popular singles and performed regularly throughout Greece and other parts of Europe. She also took on theatrical roles in productions like Barbarella: The 80’s Musical and Jesus Christ Superstar. Influenced by artists such as Beyoncé, Whitney Houston, and Helena Paparizou, she has earned recognition as one of Cyprus’s most beloved pop figures.

In addition to her musical career, Ivi has been acknowledged with several awards, including honors from the MAD Video Music Awards and the Madame Figaro Awards. She studied sociology at Panteion University and is also active in philanthropic efforts. Ivi currently resides in Greece with her partner, musician Michalis Kouinelis, and their daughter.
