Isabelle Boemeke is a Brazilian fashion model and science communicator recognized as the world's first nuclear energy influencer. Boemeke began her career as a fashion model at age 17, building a social media following through photo shoots and lifestyle content. Her focus shifted after learning about the benefits of nuclear-generated electricity and being motivated by environmental events such as the Australian bushfires and Amazon rainforest wildfires. She identified nuclear-generated electricity as a necessary solution to address climate change and energy inequality.

To advance this message, Boemeke created the social media persona Isodope, using platforms to educate the public on nuclear energy and its role in climate solutions. Her content incorporates vaporwave aesthetics, outer space backdrops, and digital graphics, blending science communication with contemporary social media trends. Boemeke expanded her expertise by studying scientific literature and engaging with experts in nuclear energy.

Boemeke delivered a TED Talk titled "Nuclear Power is Our Best Hope to Ditch Fossil Fuels," which has reached a wide audience. She organized a protest against the closure of the Diablo Canyon nuclear plant in San Luis Obispo County, California, advocating for the importance of nuclear power in reducing carbon emissions. She is the founder and executive director of Save Clean Energy and serves on the boards of Nature is Nonpartisan and the Nuclear Scaling Initiative, working at the intersection of policy, culture, and technology to advance clean energy solutions. Boemeke has supported the nuclear sector through philanthropy, donating $5 million to organizations such as Clean Air Task Force, EFI Foundation, and Nuclear Threat Initiative. She established the cross-organizational Nuclear Scaling Initiative, which aims to build a global energy ecosystem capable of scaling to more than 50 gigawatts of safe and secure nuclear energy per year by the 2030s.
