Imagine Dragons

Imagine Dragons is a pop rock band that originated in the Las Vegas music scene and has become one of the most commercially successful rock acts of the modern era. Formed in Las Vegas, Nevada, the band consists of lead singer Dan Reynolds, guitarist Wayne Sermon, and bassist Ben McKee. The group gained significant attention after stepping in for Train at the Bite of Las Vegas Festival, performing to an audience of 26,000. Following the release of their third EP, "It's Time," Imagine Dragons signed a record deal with Interscope Records.

The band's debut album, "Night Visions," produced the chart-topping singles "Radioactive" and "Demons," reaching No. 2 in the United States and achieving Platinum sales. "Radioactive" set a record for the most weeks charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and was described by Rolling Stone as the biggest rock hit of the year. Imagine Dragons earned a Grammy Award for "Radioactive" and maintained a strong presence on the charts throughout the 2010s. MTV recognized the band as a breakout act, and Billboard named them Breakthrough Band and Biggest Band, also placing them at the top of its Year in Rock rankings multiple times.

Imagine Dragons continued their success with a series of chart-dominating albums. Their second studio album, "Smoke + Mirrors," reached number one in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The third studio album, "Evolve," generated three chart-topping singles: "Believer," "Thunder," and "Whatever It Takes," making the band the artist with the most weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot Rock Songs chart. The fourth studio album, "Origins," featured the single "Natural," which became their fifth song to top the Hot Rock Songs chart. "Mercury: Act 1," produced by Rick Rubin and Joel Little, explored themes of mental health, loss, and relationships. The band later released "Mercury – Acts 1 & 2," a double album featuring the US top 5 hit "Enemy," and "Loom."

Imagine Dragons has sold more than 74 million albums and 65 million digital songs worldwide, making the group one of the best-selling music artists globally. The band has accumulated 160 billion streams across music platforms and was the most streamed group on Spotify in 2018. Imagine Dragons is the first rock act to have four songs—"Radioactive," "Demons," "Believer," and "Thunder"—surpass one billion streams each, and the only group in RIAA history to have four songs certified higher than Diamond. According to Billboard, "Believer," "Thunder," and "Radioactive" were among the best-performing rock songs of the 2010s. The band has received three American Music Awards, nine Billboard Music Awards, one Grammy Award, one MTV Video Music Award, and one World Music Award. Billboard ranked Imagine Dragons among the greatest Adult Alternative artists and top artists of the 2010s in the United States. The band's arena-ready anthems, emotionally resonant lyrics, and genre-blending sound have established Imagine Dragons as a defining rock band of the 21st century.
