Idan Amedi

Idan Amedi is an Israeli singer-songwriter and actor known for his work in the Israeli entertainment industry. Amedi gained national attention on the reality show "Kochav Nolad," where his participation significantly advanced his music career. His debut single, "Pain of Warriors," was named Song of the Year in annual chorus parades and reached first place on several Israeli radio charts, including Galgalz and Reshet Gimel. He has released six studio albums, with singles such as "Pain of Warriors" and "Finished" achieving widespread airplay.

Amedi expanded into acting, joining the cast of the TV action series "Fauda" as Sagi Tzur. The series, available on Netflix, is recognized for its depiction of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Amedi also contributed musically to the show, with a remake of his song "Menasim (Trying)" serving as the theme for the second season. In addition to television, Amedi has appeared in dramatic films, including the Israeli-French drama "Highway 65," directed by Maya Dreifuss, which received multiple Ophir Award nominations.

Following the October 7 Hamas attacks on Israel, Amedi enlisted as an IDF reservist and served in the Combat Engineering Corps during Israel's military campaign in Gaza. He was critically wounded during a tunnel demolition operation. After a period of rehabilitation, Amedi stepped away from "Fauda."

Amedi's sixth album, "Superman," features 13 songs and reflects his experiences during his recovery. The album achieved strong radio and digital chart performance. Amedi often highlights his Kurdish Jewish heritage by concluding concerts with a Kurdish song. His career spans music, television, and film, and he is recognized for his contributions to Israeli pop culture and his personal story of resilience.
