Ian Lara is a New York–born comedian whose blend of honesty and humor has made him a favorite on stage and on screen. He first broke out when his "Comedy Central Stand-Up Featuring" set went viral, earning over 10 million views and leading to appearances on NBC’s "Bring the Funny" and "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" — where he has now performed five times.
A regular at the Comedy Cellar, Lara has appeared on Comedy Central’s "This Week at the Comedy Cellar," released the Comedy Central half-hour "Growing Shame," and debuted his first HBO special, "Ian Lara: Romantic Comedy." He has been featured in The New Yorker, selected as a 2021 JFL New Face, and named one of Variety’s “Comics to Watch” in 2023.
