Ian Edwards

Ian Edwards launched his career in the entertainment industry as a stand-up comedian, writer, actor, and producer in Los Angeles, California. His career took a significant leap in 1998 when he began writing for "The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show." Further solidifying his place in the industry, Edwards contributed to a range of television shows, such as MTV's "The Lyricist Lounge Show," ABC's "The Big House," and "Black-ish," alongside NBC's "The Carmichael Show."

Edwards expanded his portfolio by becoming a regular cast member on MTV's "Punk’d," while also taking the role of a story editor on Cartoon Network's "The Boondocks." His stand-up performances have been showcased on HBO's "Def Comedy Jam" and P. Diddy's "The Bad Boys of Comedy." In 2014, Edwards released his debut comedy album, "100% Half Assed," through Conan O’Brien's Team Coco Records, further establishing his comedic prowess. In 2025, he released his special "Untitled," donating proceeds to victims of the January wildfires in California.

Not limiting himself to television and stand-up, Edwards has also appeared in films, including "Tangerine," and participated in the mockumentary "Raise The ToyGantic." His voice is frequently heard on popular podcasts such as "The Joe Rogan Experience" and "The Adam Carolla Show." Furthermore, Edwards delivers his insights and comedic takes through his own podcasts: "Soccer Comic Rant" and "The Preposterous Sessions," which he co-hosts with Zara Mizrahi.
