Hunter Henry, a professional American football player, has built a reputation in the National Football League (NFL) as a force to reckon with. Currently serving as a tight end for the New England Patriots, Henry has had a colorful career that kicked off with college football at the Arkansas Razorbacks. It was here that he clinched unanimous All-American honors in 2015. His prowess on the field did not go unnoticed as he was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 2016 NFL draft, the first tight end chosen that year. This marked the start of his professional career, which he pursued with the Chargers until 2020 before joining the Patriots in 2021.
Henry's achievements in football have earned him numerous accolades. In 2015, he won the John Mackey Award, a recognition given to the nation's best college tight end. His performance as a rookie in the NFL also saw him named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2016. Over the years, he's been recognized as a Freshman All-American (2013), 2× First-team All-SEC (2014, 2015), and Second-team All-SEC (2013). His career statistics up to 2025 include 455 receptions, 5,295 receiving yards, and 47 receiving touchdowns, a testament to his skill and contribution to the teams he's played with.
