Holly Thaggard

Holly Thaggard is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Supergoop! and has made significant strides in the skincare industry with a focus on sun protection. Her dedication to this cause led to the development of innovative sunscreen compositions and photo-protective methods. The brand has earned numerous industry accolades, including Allure’s “Best of Beauty” list seven years in a row, a total of six CEW Beauty Awards, two products honored in Time Magazine’s Best Inventions lists along with inclusion in Time Magazine’s b100 Most Influential Companies list for 2022.

Thaggard has been honored for her leadership and innovative mindset within the beauty industry. In 2012, she was bestowed with the Cosmetic Executive Women's Indie Beauty Award, a testament to her unique contribution to the field. Earlier, in 2007, she received the American Academy of Dermatology's Gold Triangle Award for Sun Safety Education, a clear recognition of her unwavering commitment to raising awareness about the importance of sun protection. Thaggard has also been honored on Entrepreneur’s 2019 100 Powerful Women List, Inc. Magazine’s 2019 100 Female Founders List, and Ernst Young’s 2023 Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

One of Thaggard's notable initiatives at the start of Supergoop! was the introduction of SPF pumps in schools. Through her actions, Thaggard has positioned herself as a pioneer, making a palpable difference in public health while using her entrepreneurial skills to influence a significant shift in the skincare industry.

Prior to starting Supergoop!, Thaggard was a third-grade teacher and professional harpist. She currently lives in San Antonio, Texas with her husband and two children.
