Helena Wasserman

Helena Wasserman is a climate tech investor, entrepreneur, and public speaker focused on mobilizing capital and talent to address the climate crisis. Wasserman began her career working on social and environmental issues at the Clinton Foundation and Ashoka. She later joined Techstars, the U.S. tech accelerator, where she connected with the founders of Big Data for Humans, a data-science-as-a-service software company, contributing to advancements in data analytics. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Parsons School of Design and a Master of Science in Management from the London School of Economics.

Wasserman has been recognized as a Founder of the Future by Founders Forum, appeared on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, and was named one of the 50 most inspirational women in technology in Europe by Inspiring 50 for her work at Big Data for Humans. She has held roles at organizations including Top Tier Impact and served as investor in residence at the Techstars Sustainability Paris Accelerator, focusing on the intersection of technology and sustainability.

Wasserman is co-founder of Investors for Climate, where she co-leads a global network of more than 400 climate investors and an investment syndicate. Through this initiative, launched with Christine Amour-Levar, she has united climate-focused investors who have committed over $50 billion to climate tech. The network spans more than 24 cities worldwide. As an angel investor, Wasserman is an Earthshot Prize nominator with a portfolio of more than 16 startups, including one that has completed an initial public offering.

Wasserman is also the founder of Unstoppable, a platform supporting the next generation of climate entrepreneurs. Through Unstoppable, she works with climate tech and nonprofit founders on fundraising strategy, storytelling, and investor readiness—a program used by more than 40 founders who have collectively raised over $40 million. She has launched a Climate Tech course in collaboration with Columbia Business School, Columbia Engineering, and Columbia Climate School. Her work aims to empower climate founders to build scalable solutions for climate change.

Wasserman is a frequent speaker on climate finance and entrepreneurship, having presented at the United Nations, TEDx, UBS, Pictet, Super Return, and Change Now. She has been featured in Forbes and Vogue, and contributes thought leadership on topics such as greenwashing and the role of philanthropy in emerging climate markets. Wasserman’s expertise in climate technology investment, community-building, and storytelling informs her work with audiences navigating the evolving landscape of climate innovation.
