Harland Williams

Harland Williams is a Canadian-American comedian, actor, author, illustrator, and voice artist known for his unpredictable, high-energy humor. Williams began his stand-up comedy career while attending Sheridan College, performing in Toronto before relocating to Los Angeles. A breakthrough appearance on "Late Night with David Letterman" and the support of Jim Carrey brought him to the attention of the Farrelly brothers, who cast him in his debut film role as a police officer in "Dumb and Dumber." This role launched a film career that includes performances in "Half Baked," "There's Something About Mary," "RocketMan," and "Sorority Boys." Williams also appeared in "The Whole Nine Yards," "Freddy Got Fingered," and provided voice work for animated films such as "Robots," "Meet the Robinsons," and "Sausage Party."

Williams has performed stand-up comedy on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," HBO, Comedy Central, and at comedy clubs across the United States. He has produced solo stand-up comedy specials for HBO, Comedy Central, CTV, and CBC. His improvisational skills earned him the Best Improviser Award on NBC's prime-time series "Thank God You're Here."

In animation, Williams voiced Carl the Robot in "Meet the Robinsons" and contributed to "Jake and the Never Land Pirates" and "Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero." He created, produced, and wrote "Puppy Dog Pals" for Disney Jr., also voicing Bob, the owner of the show's main characters. The children's series follows pug brothers Bingo and Rolly on their adventures.

Williams is the author and illustrator of several children's books, including a series about a dinosaur named Lickety Split, as well as books for adults. His published works include "You've Lost Your Marbles Lickety Split," "Lickety Split: Who Are You?," "The Things You Don't Know You Don't Know," and "The Kid with Too Many Pets." He also hosts the podcast "The Harland Highway," which features pop culture commentary and improvisation with a variety of recurring characters.
