HYPROV

HYPROV, an inventive live show co-created by Colin Mochrie and Asad Mecci, is known for its blend of hypnotism and improvisation. The show is structured to hypnotize 20 volunteers on stage, with the most receptive individuals performing improvisational scenes while under hypnosis. With the inclusion of improvised music, HYPROV creates an atmosphere of dynamism and spontaneity. The show was launched Off-Broadway at the Daryl Roth Theatre in 2022 and enjoyed a 6-month residency at Harrah's Las Vegas in 2023.

HYPROV has received notable acclaim from various media outlets such as Time Out New York and The Wall Street Journal. Beyond its initial launch and residency, HYPROV has also embarked on extensive tours, gracing stages at venues such as Just for Laughs in London and Montreal, as well as the Edinburgh Fringe. The show is set to continue touring, with dates scheduled throughout 2024 and 2025.

The production of HYPROV has seen collaboration with significant contributors in the arts. Grammy-nominated artist Rufus Wainwright crafted original music for the Off-Broadway production. Additionally, the show's creative team for its Off-Broadway run included Tony Award winner Bob Martin as a creative consultant and was directed by Stan Zimmerman. These collaborations underscore the unique and diverse influences that contribute to the distinctive HYPROV experience.
