Greg Jenkins

Greg Jenkins is a retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major, service-disabled veteran, and the founder and CEO of Greg Jenkins Consulting, a firm focused on helping organizations build high-performing, inclusive cultures. Jenkins completed a 28-year U.S. Army career with assignments in Germany, South Korea, Iraq, and several stateside locations, culminating in Washington, D.C. His involvement in diversity, equity, and inclusion began after attending equal opportunity training at the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute, which marked a significant shift in his professional focus.

During his military service, Jenkins led equal opportunity and diversity initiatives at the highest levels of the Army. His leadership in Military Equal Opportunity efforts contributed to the development of model programs for U.S. Army Equal Opportunity and human relations advisors. Jenkins was selected for the Army's Diversity Task Force at the Pentagon, where he played a key role in establishing the Army's diversity program, policies, and outreach. He also developed a Sexual Harassment & Assault Response Prevention program recognized by Congress as a standard in Army outreach.

After transitioning to civilian life, Jenkins established a consulting practice that serves a range of industries and sectors. As a diversity consultant, he has provided services to federal and state government agencies, including the VA, USDA, U.S. Army Reserve, SBA, and the National Guard. His corporate diversity, equity, and inclusion experience includes work with organizations in wealth management, finance, insurance, manufacturing, higher education, city administration, global beverage companies, retail services, facilities management, nonprofits, and legal firms. Jenkins has worked with companies such as USAA, Getty Images, Toyota, Smithsonian Institution, and CVS. He has delivered diversity, equity, inclusion, and leadership training to thousands of mid, senior, and executive-level managers and leaders.

Jenkins holds an MA in human resources development from Webster University and is a published author. He is a Certified Professional in Talent Development and a Qualified Administrator with the Intercultural Development Inventory. Jenkins serves on the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, contributing insights to management and leadership content. He has been recognized by Onalytica as one of the top global influencers focusing on gender equality and diversity.

In addition to his consulting work, Jenkins mentors and coaches military and prospective military service members, supporting their transition to civilian life. He serves in leadership roles for nonprofits and provides facilitation, instruction, research, analytics, strategy, curriculum development, and delivery for his firm and other diversity, equity, and inclusion partners. Jenkins brings a combination of military leadership, institutional diversity expertise, and cross-sector consulting experience to organizations seeking to build equitable and high-performing workplaces.
