Greg Anthony

Greg Anthony is a former professional basketball player and television sports analyst whose career spans both the basketball court and the broadcast booth. A point guard from Las Vegas, Nevada, Anthony led the University of Nevada, Las Vegas to the NCAA Division I men's basketball championship as a junior, earning two-time honorable mention All-American status and three-time all-conference honors while setting the school's career assists record. In the championship game, UNLV defeated Duke by 30 points. Anthony holds UNLV records in assists and steals in a season. His jersey number 50 was retired by the UNLV Runnin' Rebels, and he has been inducted into both the UNLV Athletics Hall of Fame and the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame.

Selected 12th overall in the NBA Draft by the New York Knicks, Anthony played 11 seasons across seven teams, including the Knicks, Vancouver Grizzlies, Seattle SuperSonics, and Portland Trail Blazers. He appeared in the NBA Finals with New York and averaged 7.3 points and 4.0 assists per game in 728 regular-season appearances. Anthony led the Grizzlies in scoring and assists during one season and holds the Trail Blazers' record for consecutive games played. Known as a tenacious defender and floor general, Anthony's basketball knowledge later contributed to his work in sports broadcasting.

Beyond basketball, Anthony was appointed by President George Bush to serve as an aide at the World Economic Summit in Houston and attended the Summer Olympics in Barcelona as an official delegate. He established the Gregory C. Anthony Foundation to fund academic scholarships at Las Vegas high schools and to support the fight against multiple sclerosis.

Anthony joined ESPN as a studio analyst for NBA coverage before becoming a college basketball announcer for CBS Sports. He served as lead studio analyst for the CBS Television Network's coverage of college basketball, including the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship, and partnered with Jim Nantz as lead in-game analyst. Anthony has co-hosted with Greg Gumbel and Seth Davis in the studio for the NCAA Tournament on "The Road to The Final Four." He also contributes to Yahoo! Sports as a college basketball analyst and serves as a co-host and analyst on SiriusXM NBA Radio. Anthony is recognized for his expertise in college basketball broadcasting and sports analysis.
