Grant Verstandig

Grant Verstandig is the founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Red Cell Partners, an incubation and investment firm focused on launching and scaling technology-led companies in healthcare, defense, and cybersecurity. Under Verstandig's leadership, Red Cell has developed a portfolio of nearly 20 companies, most of which were built internally, and has raised close to half a billion dollars to support ventures addressing critical societal challenges. Verstandig began his entrepreneurial career after a personal experience as a patient, which led him to found Rally Health, a consumer-focused digital health company later acquired by UnitedHealth Group in one of the largest digital health exits. He subsequently served as UnitedHealth Group's first chief digital officer, shaping the company's digital strategy, and continues as a senior advisor to the CEO.

Verstandig has co-founded and led several companies, including Epirus, Zephyr AI, DEFCON AI, and Trase Systems. His ventures span advanced artificial intelligence, power management for defense, and precision medicine, with DEFCON AI raising one of the largest defense technology seed rounds. Verstandig holds patents in analytics and artificial intelligence and has served as a senior advisor to the National Security Agency on technology and AI. He is an active member of the Aspen Institute Cybersecurity Group and serves on the boards of organizations such as the International Spy Museum and the Greater Washington Partnership.

Through the Verstandig Family Foundation, Verstandig supports initiatives in veterans’ mental health, digital innovation, and education. He participates in public speaking engagements at major conferences, including the Milken Institute Global Conference, and holds advisory roles with public, nonprofit, and government organizations, contributing to advancements in technology, healthcare, and cybersecurity.
