Giovanni Reyna

Giovanni Alejandro Reyna is a professional soccer player known for his role as an attacking midfielder. The son of former United States national team players Claudio Reyna and Danielle Reyna, Giovanni Reyna developed his skills through the New York City FC academy before moving to Germany to join Borussia Dortmund's youth system. He advanced to the senior squad, where he became the youngest American to appear in the Bundesliga and the youngest scorer in the history of the German Cup (DFB-Pokal). Reyna also set records as the youngest player in Bundesliga history to record a hat trick of assists in a single match and to reach 50 Bundesliga appearances, surpassing a record previously held by Kai Havertz. He contributed to Borussia Dortmund's DFB-Pokal title and was named U.S. Soccer's Young Male Player of the Year.
