George Jenkins MD

Dr. George Jenkins is a Dentist, Author, and Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry at Columbia University. He is also a founding member of "The Thee Doctors," a group in which he founded with his two best friends.

As a young boy growing up in Newark, New Jersey, Dr. George Jenkins beat the odds and followed a dream. After visiting the dentist at age 13, Jenkins found his calling. It was this dream to become a dentist that kept him off his crime-ridden streets and that helped him inspire his two best friends to become doctors as well.

The three made a promise to each other that they would make more of themselves than the statistics indicated. Together, the three young men attended Seton Hall University's Pre- Medicine/Pre-Dental Plus program, specifically designed to encourage minority students to pursue medical careers. The social and financial hardships that followed them through high school continued through college, making medical school sometimes seem impossible. But, with deeply rooted strength and commitment, they persevered.

Dr. Jenkins graduated from Seton Hall University in 1995, and later earned his DMD in 1999 at New Jersey Dental School. He completed a General Practice Residency in 2000 and an Oral Medicine Fellowship in 2002, all at New Jersey Dental School. Dr. Jenkins also completed the Executive Masters of Health Administration at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health in 2016.

After officially forming "The Three Doctors" in 2000, Jenkins and the rest of the trio have become nationally recognized authors and motivational speakers. They have published three books together, two of which were New York Times Bestsellers: The Pact (2002), We Beat the Street (2006), and The Bond (2008).
