Genevieve Piturro's journey has taken her from Marketing VP in the television business in New York City to a little girl's question in a homeless shelter to "OPRAH," "Kelly Clarkson," the morning shows, and boardrooms and stages across America to talk about her guiding philosophy, Lead with Love and the measurable power of clear communications, human connection, and shared purpose. She is a TEDx "Human Connection" speaker, 7x award winning Amazon bestselling author, and founder of the national organization, "Pajama Program" - this year celebrating 25 years with a new name and expanded purpose, "Beyond Bedtime." After 20 years as Executive Director, Piturro passed the ED baton and created Purpose ACER, a training program focused on management excellence and team building. She has written two award-winning books, (Piturro’s first book, "Purpose, Passion and Pajamas," lives in the Forbes Executive Library) and today she teaches, speaks, and writes on leading with love because the world needs leaders who put people first.

Piturro was a successful television marketing executive until a sudden inner voice challenged her direction and she dramatically altered the path of her life. She found her true purpose when a simple question from a six-year-old girl in an emergency shelter changed everything. In 2001, she jumped off the corporate ladder and founded the hugely successful national nonprofit, Pajama Program. This year, the Program celebrates its 25th anniversary, having delivered more than eight (8) million pajamas and books to date through its 40 chapters around the U.S.

“Going from corporate executive to nonprofit founder wasn’t easy, but after massive fear and doubt, countless sleepless nights, and tears that could fill the Atlantic, I overcame challenges I thought would ruin everything. I met each turn with faith, determination, and moxie. I found and powered my purpose, and the chain of events set in motion by that little girl is creating a legacy we can only attribute to the magic of the human connection,” says Piturro.
