Gary Thomas

Gary L. Thomas is a bestselling author, evangelical minister, and international speaker known for his contributions to Christian marriage and spiritual formation. Thomas's ministry focuses on fostering spiritual growth and strengthening relationships within the Christian community by integrating the study of Scripture, church history, and Christian classics.

Thomas is the author of 20 published books, including "Sacred Marriage," "Sacred Pathways," and "Authentic Faith." In "Sacred Marriage," he explores marriage as a spiritual discipline intended to deepen faith and draw individuals closer to God, rather than solely offering practical advice for marital improvement. His works, including "Sacred Marriage" and "Cherish," have sold more than two million copies, been translated into multiple languages, and received several awards. "Authentic Faith" received the Gold Medallion Award in the Christian Living category.

Thomas is recognized as a thought leader in marriage, parenting, and spiritual formation. He serves on the teaching team and as writer in residence at Second Baptist Church in Houston, a congregation with multiple campuses and a large membership. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon, and Houston Theological Seminary in Houston, Texas.
