Gary Sinclair is a motivational speaker, author, certified coach, and counselor whose work focuses on helping individuals and organizations address significant personal and professional challenges. He and his wife, Jackie, both avid hikers and climbers, faced a significant challenge when Jackie was diagnosed with stage-three cancer shortly after climbing her first 14,000-foot mountain in Colorado. Over the following months, they applied the principles they used in hiking and climbing to navigate her cancer journey, ultimately leading to her recovery. Sinclair documents these principles to help others confront personal challenges such as illness, grief, job loss, and relationship struggles.

Sinclair has climbed nine 14,000-foot peaks in Colorado and hiked with his wife in Alaska, Austria, Switzerland, and the Canadian Rockies. Sinclair was also recognized as Father Figure of the Year in Illinois.
