Garrett Camp

Garrett Camp is a technology entrepreneur, investor, and product strategist best known as the founder of Expa, a startup studio that partners with founders to design, build, and launch new digital products. Expa focuses on early-stage product development, emphasizing user experience, system architecture, and scalable product strategy to help new ventures achieve sustainable growth.

Camp previously co-founded Uber Technologies, Inc. in 2009, creating a mobile platform that transformed on-demand transportation by enabling users to request rides through a smartphone application. Today, Uber operates globally across hundreds of cities and has expanded into delivery and mobility-related services. Camp continues to serve as a chairman and advisor to the company.

Earlier in his career, Camp co-founded StumbleUpon in 2002 and served as its founding chief executive officer. The platform grew to more than 25 million registered users by helping people discover web content tailored to their interests, eventually achieving profitability during its independent operations.

Camp earned a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from the University of Calgary, where his research focused on collaborative computing systems, evolutionary algorithms, and information retrieval. He was recognized in 2007 as a recipient of the MIT Technology Review TR35 award, honoring young innovators making significant technological contributions.

Through his work as a founder, investor, and product architect, Camp continues to focus on building companies that shape the future of digital services and consumer technology.
