G-Eazy

Gerald Earl Gillum, known professionally as G-Eazy, is a hip-hop artist and producer from Oakland, California. Recognized for his signature pompadour and leather jacket, G-Eazy has been referred to as the James Dean of rap. His music, however, often blends mainstream hip-hop with elements of classic rock, as demonstrated by his reinterpretation of the rock and roll classic "Runaround Sue."

G-Eazy began his music career while attending Loyola University in New Orleans, where he led the hip-hop group Bay Boyz and released his solo debut, "The Epidemic" LP. He gained wider attention with the mixtape "The Endless Summer," which featured his version of "Runaround Sue." He continued to build his presence in the music industry with the release of "Must Be Nice," followed by touring with Hoodie Allen and joining the Vans Warped Tour.

His first major-label album, "These Things Happen," marked a significant step in his career. G-Eazy expanded his international reach through extensive touring and continued recording, culminating in the release of "When It's Dark Out." This album included the hit single "Me, Myself & I," a duet with Bebe Rexha, which achieved commercial success by reaching the top five on the Billboard 200 and leading the R&B/Hip-Hop chart.

G-Eazy has collaborated with a range of artists across the hip-hop and pop music landscape, including appearances on Britney Spears' single "Make Me," which entered the Top 20 of the Hot 100. He also released "Some Kind of Drug" featuring Marc E. Bassy and partnered with Carnage for the EP "Step Brothers." His single "No Limit," featuring A$AP Rocky and Cardi B, further solidified his presence in the hip-hop and rap industry.
